I have been a resident of Burlington for nearly 12 years. I am currently a student at the University of Waterloo, as a recent graduate of Assumption Catholic Secondary School as an Advanced Placement Student, and an elementary graduate of Saint Gabriels as an Extended French Student.
As a former Student Trustee of ÄÛÑ¿ÊÓƵ, I understand the responsibility of having a voice and a vote at the Board table in a public education system.
I also have two younger siblings in elementary and secondary school and a relative who works in HCDSB. My relationship with them gives me insight into their daily life in our educational environment. I find it essential that board trustees stay involved in the community, especially in our schools, to understand the needs of our community continuously. I have already worked with many organizations that help me understand the different perspectives and conditions of our region and school board. This includes HCDSB’s Student Senate, the Compassion Society of Halton, the Ontario Student Trustees’ Association, Positive Space Network, Burlington Youth Council, Burlington’s Kumon Learning Centre, and Burlington’s Amateur Softball Association.
I am excited to serve our community in Christ’s name for the next 4 years, and I will pursue an educational system where everyone can succeed in a supportive and equitable environment.
