Director’s Annual Report 2024-2025

A Message From Our Director of Education, John Klein

John Klein

I am pleased to present the ÄÛÑ¿ÊÓƵ’s 2024–2025 Director’s Annual Report, which highlights the collective efforts and accomplishments that defined our first year of implementation of the 2024–2028 Multi-Year Strategic Plan.

This report focuses on Year One of our renewed strategic priorities – AchievingBelievingBelonging, and Becoming â€“ and includes insights gathered through the 2024–2025 Strategic Plan Monitoring Survey, alongside data from our newly launched MYSP Monitoring Dashboard. Together, these tools help us reflect on our progress, strengthen accountability, and guide our work moving forward.

The achievements showcased throughout this report are a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and care demonstrated daily by our staff, and to the engagement, perseverance, and growth of our students. They also reflect the strength of the relationships we share with families, parishes, and community and education partners who walk alongside us in supporting student success and well-being.

While this digital report captures many highlights from the past year, the true impact of our work is found in classrooms, schools, and communities across HCDSB – where faith, learning, and belonging come to life each day.

As we continue this journey together, I remain deeply grateful for the commitment of our entire HCDSB community and inspired by our shared mission to ensure every learner can achieve, believe, belong, and become.

John Klein
Director of Education

Monitoring Our MYSP

Each year, the Director of Education reports back to the Board of Trustees on the specific steps undertaken across our school system to work towards the MYSP goals in the previous school year.

To support this work, a monitoring strategy was developed to track progress in each of the priority areas – Achieving, Believing, Belonging, Becoming – and to identify data sources that inform our analysis.

More than 60 key performance indicators were used to monitor the progress in Year 1 (2024-2025) of our Multi-Year Strategic Plan. Drawn from a range of data sources, these indicators include both quantitative and qualitative measures that help us understand how we are advancing our goals. The results are presented in the MYSP Monitoring Dashboard, which organizes the indicators by each strategic priority area â€“ Achieving, Believing, Belonging, Becoming â€“ and their corresponding objectives.
