Core French as a Second Language is taught in our schools from Grades 4 through 9 for all students in Halton Catholic elementary and secondary schools.
The Core French as a Second Language program offers students a valuable educational experience and the opportunity to develop a usable command of the French language that can be expanded through further study of the language.
The Core French as a Second Language expectations are organized into four strands, which correspond to the four main areas of language use. The four strands are: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
