On April 6th, St. Peter Catholic Elementary School in Milton wrapped up their school-wide fundraiser in support of the (HCCF)’s, March with Heart campaign.
To raise funds, students purchased handmade “What Would Jesus Do” bracelets, encouraging reflection on faith, compassion, and service to others. Thanks to the generosity of students, staff, and families, nearly $800 was raised to support students across the ѿƵ (HCDSB).

About HCCF and March with Heart
HCCF is an independent charity that works closely with the HCDSB to assist students and families experiencing financial hardship. By removing barriers that prevent full participation in school, students can feel a greater sense of well-being, support, and belonging amongst their peers.
In its first year, HCCF’s March with Heart campaign encourages schools across HCDSB to take part in simple, engaging fundraising activities that directly support students and families within their school communities.
Ms. Melo, Kindergarten Teacher at St. Peter, organized the fundraiser and shared her appreciation for the opportunity to support HCCF. “We’re really proud to support the Halton Catholic Children’s Foundation,” she said. “The initiative has been very successful, and it’s been exciting to involve all students in our school. It has truly brought a sense of community to our school environment.”
Thank you to the students, staff, and families at St. Peter for their enthusiastic support, and to HCCF for the meaningful work they do to ensure our HCDSB community thrives.
