Grade 5 Extended French Program ~ Application Portal Open Until December 9!

We are excited to announce that select schools in each municipality will offer the optional Extended French Program during the 2026-2027 school year!

The Extended French Program is an exciting, fast-paced, optional French program. Students must be entering Grade 5 in September 2026 to be eligible to participate in the Extended French Program at HCDSB.

Application Portal Opens on November 25

The online portal to apply for the Grade 5 Extended French Program (offered during the 2026-2027 school year) will be available on Tuesday, November 25^th until听Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

A direct link to the online application portal will be available on the听Extended French webpage.

About the Random Selection Process

Student enrolment in the Extended French program will be determined through a听random selection (lottery) process.

Please note that听only听one (1)听registration per child will be accepted听and included in the random selection process.听All duplicate registrations will be cancelled.
