At Assumption Catholic Secondary School, the Ambassadors program is more than a leadership role – it is a calling to serve with love, humility, and purpose. Ambassadors are mentors, role models, and visible signs of what it means to live out faith through action. By choosing to serve, these students respond to the Christian call to put others before self, to build up their peers, and to lead not for recognition, but for the good of the community.
During their recent Ontario Educational Leadership Centre (OELC) training, Ambassadors explored leadership not just as a set of skills, but as a vocation grounded in faith. Through team-building, reflection, and shared experiences, they discovered how leadership can be a ministry – one that nurtures connection, promotes justice, and fosters a welcoming, inclusive school environment.
Guided by Jesus’ model of servant leadership – leading with compassion, listening with empathy, and lifting others with grace – Ambassadors at Assumption are called to lead with love, act with integrity, and serve with joy.
