The ѿƵ (HCDSB) is offering an in-person information session for parents and caregivers of Grade 12 graduating students who want to pursue a career in skilled trades.
The session is hosted by the HCDSB Team and (SOY) to provide details on post-secondary transition planning and support for Grade 12 students and their parents/guardians, focusing on apprenticeship opportunities.
During the event, the Support Ontario Youth team will provide:
- Information to help graduates navigate and understand the apprenticeship pathway
- Resources and tips on how to transition from high school to mainstream apprenticeship
- Information on how to find the right employer/sponsor
The session will provide practical information for graduates intending to begin their apprenticeship immediately, as well as for those planning to first enroll in a college pre-apprenticeship program.
