Thank you for sharing your ideas for naming HCDSB鈥檚 upcoming three (3) new Catholic elementary schools in the 2024-2025 school year 鈥 two (2) new schools in Milton and one (1) new school in Oakville.
The three School Name Selection Committees met to review the names submitted by members of the community. The Committees developed a short list of names, in accordance with the Diocesan criteria included in Policy I-15 School Name Selection.
Members of our HCDSB community are now invited to vote on their top choices for school names for each of the three school communities!

Milton#10 Catholic Elementary School
The Milton #10 Catholic Elementary School community will be established for the 2024-2025 school year and will move to their school building once St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School students and staff are relocated to their new school.

Milton#9 Catholic Elementary School
The Milton #9 Catholic Elementary School community will be established for the 2024-2025 school year and JK to Grade 8 students who live within the will be directed to Milton #9 CES, starting in the 2024-2025 school year.

Next Steps
- The three School Naming Selection Committees will review all feedback received and submit their final recommendations to the Board of Trustees at the Regular Board Meeting held on April 16, 2024.
- The top submissions (at least 2) for each school community will be submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval.
- These submissions will then be forwarded to His Excellency, Bishop Crosby, for his review and consideration.
