HCDSB is opening three (3) new Catholic elementary schools in the 2024-2025 school year 鈥� two (2) new schools in Milton and one (1) new school in Oakville.
In accordance with Policy I-15 School Name Selection, a School Naming Committee has been established for each of the three communities. We are looking for input from our HCDSB community in choosing school names for these new schools.

Next Steps
- The School Naming Committees will review the submissions and develop a short list. We will then share the short list of names and invite members of our HCDSB community to vote for their preferred name(s).
- The School Naming Committees will then finalize the priority list of names, and submit to the Board of Trustees on April 16, 2024.
- The Board of Trustees will vote on the proposed school names at the Board Meeting held on May 8, 2024.
- The new school names will become official once the Board has received the blessing from His Excellency, Douglas Crosby, Bishop of Hamilton.
