Nominations are now open for the Halton Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (CPIC) Volunteer of the Year Award!
The CPIC Parent/Guardian Volunteer of the Year Award has been developed to acknowledge the dedicated individuals who make a significant contribution to the schools in the HCDSB.
About the Award
The CPIC Volunteer of the Year Award acknowledges the parent/ guardian volunteers who play an integral role in helping to build the vibrant, caring, inclusive and faith-based school communities at the ѿƵ (HCDSB).
This award honours and celebrates the individuals who have made significant contributions in our Catholic school communities.
Eligibility & Requirements
To be considered for the CPIC Volunteer of the Year Award, the nominee must:
- Be a parent or guardian of a student in the HCDSB.
- Consistently support the volunteer needs of their school community through their own involvement or by recruiting/organizing volunteers for school activities.
- Demonstrate strong Catholic values and give witness to their faith though involvement in their school or Parish.
NOTE: An individual who is paid by a school or by the HCDSB is not eligible to be nominated. Current CPIC members are also not eligible to be nominated.
Nomination Details
Nominations for this award can be made by any parent, guardian or staff member of the HCDSB. Self-nominations are also welcome.
There will be one (1) winner selected per family of schools (for a total of 10 winners of the award).
Nominations will be accepted till midnight on Friday, April 5, 2024.
The winners of the award will be selected by CPIC based on their volunteer experience and through the following nominee criteria. Winners will be contacted during the month of May and will also be announced at the next Council of Chairs Meeting held in May, 2024.
