To celebrate our annual Journeying with Jesus event on May 4th, 2023, all HCDSB students and staff are invited to participate in two (2) social media contests this year!

CONTEST #1 ~ School-Wide Social Media Engagement

  • The contest will run on May 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Participants must include the following hashtags and their school鈥檚 Twitter handle in all Tweets:
    • #JourneywithJesus AND #HCDSB AND @YourSchoolTwitterHandle
  • 1 eligible Tweet = 1 ballot for your school.
  • UPDATE: The elementary and secondary school with the highest number of eligible Tweets/photos posted about the JWJ event will win a monetary prize (valued at $500) to be used for a school-wide mural or religious beautification at their school.

CONTEST #2 ~ JWJ Social Media Trivia

  • 12 questions will be posted on the throughout the day on May 4th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.
  • Each Tweet with a correct response (including #JourneyWithJesus + #HCDSB + @YourSchoolTwitterHandle, if applicable) will generate 1 ballot for the owner of the Twitter account.
  • Participants must be current students or staff enrolled/working at an HCDSB school or office.
  • All eligible ballots will be placed in a random draw ~ with 10 top winners chosen!
  • Each elementary winner will receive a fun-filled surprise gift bag.
  • Secondary winners will receive 1 item of school spirit wear of their choice (up to a maximum value of $60).
