We are excited to announce that a Grade 11 student, Liliana Di Leo, from in Milton, illustrated a book, Essential Workers ABCs!
Liliana and her mother, Michele Bugeja, who is a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), published the book through the YMCA of Greater Toronto. The book was presented through various media outlets on October 18th to recognize and celebrate Early Childhood Educators (ECE) Appreciation Day. They have decided that all proceeds from the book will go toward the YMCA.
Liliana has been a dedicated student and volunteer for many years in the Friday and Saturday morning at St. John Paul II Catholic Elementary School. She has excelled in her academics and has supported inclusivity and equity at her school by creating anti-racism artwork with her fellow classmates.
