In 2016, the Government of Ontario proclaimed November as Hindu Heritage Month in recognition of the important contributions that the Hindu community has made to Canadian society. Hindu-Canadians have made significant contributions to Canada鈥檚 social, economic, political and cultural fabric. Their outstanding achievements are recognized across all fields: science, education, medicine, law, politics, business, culture and sports.

Hindu Heritage Month is an opportunity to remember, celebrate and educate future generations about Hindu-Canadians and the important role that they have and continue to play in communities across Canada. Throughout November, we invite you to learn more about the fascinating heritage of Hindu-Canadians. Together, let鈥檚 celebrate the people that make our communities so unique!
