We are thrilled to announce that Adya Dutt, a Bishop Reding Catholic Secondary School alumna, has received a workplace internship with Shopify through the Dev Degree program at York University!
While receiving post-secondary education in computer science through the Dev Degree, students are granted academic credits for their work at Shopify and graduate with an accredited degree in computer science.
The program takes an innovative approach to integrate real-life work experience into learning to help set a strong foundation for students before entering the competitive workplace.
The program gives students access to multiple disciplines, the most up-to-date processes in the field, and the experience of working and learning in a team environment. Additionally, the Dev Degree has the added benefit of being a paid internship and scholarship.
鈥淭his program offers me a paid computer science internship at Shopify and pays my tuition in full. All around, this program is essentially a scholarship worth $160,000,鈥� said Adya, who was a former student in (AP) programme.
