Ideog Attafuah, a recent Grade 12 International Baccalaureate (IB) graduate from聽, was named a recipient of the University of British Columbia (UBC) Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Award!

The assists Black Canadian students transitioning from secondary school to their post-secondary education.

The program provides financial assistance to qualified students that have shown an interest in joining and contributing to the UBC community. Beyond Tomorrow Scholars are engaged citizens and young leaders in the classroom, on campus, and in the community 鈥 both locally and globally.

Due to her academic achievement, community involvement and leadership experience, Ideog has been awarded $80,000 towards her post-secondary education!

In the fall, Ideog will attend UBC’s Vancouver campus for a Bachelor of Applied Science in the Biomedical Engineering Program.
