Evan Gaetan, a recent graduate from , had the outstanding opportunity to develop his own app and present it to a panel of experts at Sheridan College!
As part of his co-op placement, Evan and his classmates were tasked with developing an app. With assistance from their mentors and industry experts, students had a single semester to complete the project.
Evan created his app, “Sports Q鈥�, which encourages participation in sports without being required to commit to a schedule. App users enter their availability and the sport(s) they wish to play, and the app matches them to other people in their area to play with!
Through his co-op, Evan learned more about coding, app development, and business strategies. 鈥淚t wasn鈥檛 just coding. You have to have a business plan,鈥� said Evan. 鈥淚t also encourages people to be active and make friends.鈥�
