The province-wide theme of聽Catholic聽Education聽Week聽is聽Rebuild, Restore and Renew Together, inspired by the challenges faced throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and our dedication to rebuild, restore and renew as a Catholic faith community.

Celebrating 50 Years of Catholic Education ~ St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Elementary School
Wednesday, May 4, 2022
in Georgetown will be celebrating 50 years of Catholic Education with an Open House on May 4, 2022 from 6:30 to 9:00 PM.
All families, staff and community members, both past and present are invited to tour the school and visit each of the classrooms that have prepared presentations for each of the decades that the school has been open.
Artifacts and time capsule items from the Board鈥檚 25迟丑听anniversary will be on display at the Open House. Guests will also be entertained by performances from the school鈥檚 concert band and choir.聽聽
Live Provincial Mass ~ St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica

Students, staff and families are invited to tune in to the live provincial Mass for Catholic Education Week on Wednesday, May 4th at 10:00 AM.
Journeying with Jesus
Thursday, May 5, 2022
HCDSB’s Journeying with Jesus, formerly known as our annual Walk with Jesus will take place on Thursday, May 5th. A virtual Board-wide Liturgy will be available for all schools to participate in, and blessings will be shared by the Most Reverend, Bishop Crosby.

Staff Appreciation Day

May 6, 2022 is Staff Appreciation Day 鈥� a recognition day held annually to celebrate and honour all HCDSB staff. Over 5700 members of staff across our system will be recognized for their hard work and dedication to our HCDSB community.
During the morning on May 6th, a Board-wide video message will be shared online.
