Students and staff in the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) and English as a Second Language (ESL) programs offered through the came together in solidarity to create a video for the Green Square Campaign.
The Green Square Campaign takes place each year to remember the victims and survivors of the Quebec City Mosque attack that took place on January 29, 2017.
Students and staff in the LINC and ESL programs wore green squares, serving as visual reminders of standing up against senseless acts of violence. Students and staff who participated in the Green Square Campaign video demonstrated how we can strive for a better future for Canadians of all backgrounds, and for a country that is free from Islamophobia and hatred.
