This month, Grade 11 student聽Tiwi Lanre-Adisa from聽聽won the Grand Prize at the聽!听
The Trend Micro 鈥榃hat鈥檚 Your Story?鈥� Video Contest aims to engage and empower youth through video production and to promote positive social media use.
Students across Canada and the United States are asked to submit a creative video in response to the question, 鈥榃hat does the Internet mean to you?鈥� Finalists are determined by the number of 鈥榣ikes鈥� each video receives and are then assessed by a panel of judges to determine the Grand Prize Winner.
Tiwi won for her video聽, a piece that illustrates how the Internet has helped her through the COVID-19 pandemic.聽
鈥淏ecause of the Internet, throughout the pandemic I was able to attend virtual school, start new hobbies like creating a TikTok account and watch YouTube videos. The Internet also allowed me to go to church, which is very important to me,鈥� said Tiwi.
Tiwi鈥檚 creativity and video production skills won St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School $5000!
Tiwi is a聽聽(SHSM) student in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Program and is a member of the Production Team for the聽.
