Last month, the 嫩芽视频 (HCDSB), in partnership with the (TCDSB), and Asian community partners, celebrated Asian Heritage Month by participating in activities that promote positive race relations through compassion, empathy, and inclusion.
鈥榁oices of Hope鈥� Student Contest
HCDSB students aged 12+ were invited to use their creative voice to inspire peace, social justice and humanity in our school communities through the .
Students were asked to submit a poem, rap, lyrics or acrostics on anti-racism in English or French for the chance to win a cash prize!
Congratulations to the 10 HCDSB students who received honourable mentions and a $50 gift card for their work, and to聽聽Extended French student Jasmeet Bhandal for receiving a $200 cash prize for her poem 鈥楴ous sommes tous Humains!鈥� (We are all Human).

On May 27, 2021, hosted the 鈥榊OUth for Change Panel Discussion: Unlearning Racism Understanding Identity鈥� to bring students together in conversation on topics including privilege, biases, stigmatization and mental wellbeing.
