On June 1, 2021, charity will showcase a spoken word poem written by Grade 11 English students: Natalie Garza, Taylor Savoy, Atticus Yaworski and Alexa Zarankin.
The students were inspired to create a poem of their own after enjoying a classroom visit from , a Toronto-based poet, spoken word performer and artist educator from Prologue Performing Arts. Britta performed for the students and shared her perspective on using one鈥檚 voice to affect change and share their truth.
The poem will be showcased virtually at the on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021 at 5:00-5:30 p.m. on YouTube Live. Registration for the event is free of charge.
