We’ve streamlined our registration system to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for you. Plus, our dedicated staff is always willing to assist with any questions you might have. Important Notice for Parents: Registration is only required for students who are new to HCDSB. If your child is already enrolled at one of our schools, no additional registration is necessary.
Document Checklist
As a parent/guardian, you can upload the required documents listed below through the online registration portal PowerSchool, or if you prefer, bring in these documents to the school by appointment.
Child’s Birth Certificate
Baptismal Certificate
If your聽child has no Roman/Eastern Rite Catholic baptismal 鈥媍ertificate,聽your聽child may be admitted if one parent can provide a Roman/Eastern Rite Catholic baptismal 鈥媍ertificate. Please refer to the 鈥�Board鈥檚 Operating Policy I-22 for more information.聽Exceptions may apply.聽

Proof of Address
This must be official document(s) that show your name and address, verifying that you reside at the address. Common examples include:
- Utility bills
- Government-issued statements
- Property tax bills
- Current agreement of purchase and sale
The validity of these documents may depend on their date with more recent documents being preferred to ensure accuracy.
NOTE: For families new to the school, in-person proof of parent/guardian identification is mandatory. Please see below for full details.
Online Registration
If you have never used the online registration portal, PowerSchool, you will need to create an account first. Click the 鈥淐reate Account鈥� button and follow the steps. Once you have created your account, you will be able to login with your email and password.
NOTE: Children currently registered at an HCDSB school are not required to register again.

Parents are also able to complete the registration process by bringing their required documents to the school in-person.
Parents and guardians who have NOT already uploaded their required documents in the online registration portal must make an appointment聽with their home school to complete the registration process.
