The ÄÛÑ¿ÊÓƵ (HCDSB) is excited to announce the dates for our upcoming Kindergarten Open Houses.

4 Open Houses will be offered to families with children starting Kindergarten in September 2026. 

Open House Details 

Each Open House will provide parents with an opportunity to:

• Learn about the unique play and inquiry-based Kindergarten program offered at HCDSB;
• Tour a vibrant Kindergarten classroom;
• Meet dedicated HCDSB staff and representatives from our Before & After School programs;
• Connect with fellow parents and community partners!

Future Kindergarten families are welcome to attend any of the following Kindergarten Open Houses: 

NOTE: The full-day Kindergarten program is offered at all HCDSB elementary schools.

The 4 Kindergarten Open Houses across Halton are designed to provide families with a general overview of the Kindergarten program and helpful information about what to expect when their child begins school. These sessions are not specific to the host schools.

Families will receive school-specific details in 2026 once they register their child for Kindergarten at their designated home school.

About the Kindergarten Program at HCDSB 

Our HCDSB schools offer a full-day, 2-year Kindergarten program, to engage curious early learners through all types of play; helping children learn how to reason and problem-solve as they interact with one another.

Year 1 Kindergarten – September 2026 Start Date: Children must be 4 years of age on or before December 31, 2026. 
Year 2 Kindergarten – September 2026 Start Date: Children must be 5 years of age on or before December 31, 2026.
