As temperatures soar across Ontario, school boards are taking various steps to support student learning and well-being in the heat. At HCDSB, we鈥檙e fortunate to have聽full air conditioning in every classroom across all of our schools 鈥� not just in select areas like the office or gym.
This week, while many school communities across the province are navigating the challenges of high heat, learning at HCDSB has continued as usual 鈥� in comfortable, cool classrooms that support student focus and well-being.
Even more impressive: HCDSB was recently recognized as the #1 school board in Ontario for energy efficiency for the second year in a row. This achievement shows that environmental responsibility and student comfort can go hand in hand.
We鈥檙e grateful to our Facilities Team, staff, and school communities for helping us lead the way in both sustainability and student support.
