As we bring the 2024-2025 school year to a close, we pause to celebrate a journey marked by milestones, new beginnings, and the unwavering spirit of hope that defines our Catholic learning community.

This year, we had the privilege of celebrating the 25th anniversaries of three elementary schools: Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Elementary School in Burlington, St. Andrew Catholic Elementary School in Oakville, and St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Elementary School in Oakville. These milestones are a testament to the deep roots within our school communities and the lasting impact of Catholic education.

We also opened the doors to four new school buildings across our Board:

  • St. Cecilia Catholic Elementary School in Oakville
  • St. Josephine Bakhita Catholic Elementary School in Milton
  • St. Veronica Catholic Elementary School in Milton
  • St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School in Milton, which officially moved into its newly built facility in September.

This was also the first year of implementing our new Multi-Year Strategic Plan, which sets out our shared priorities for 2024 through 2028: Achieving, Believing, Belonging, and Becoming. Guided by this plan, we continue to progress along our journey together, deepening our Catholic identity, building strong relationships, and setting high expectations for all.

In a special way, our students and staff embraced the Jubilee 2025 theme, Pilgrims of Hope, through prayer, acts of service, and a renewed focus on what it means to live our faith in today’s world.

We were also inspired by the many stories shared through our Heroes of Hope campaign, shining a light on the students and staff who are making a difference in our schools and communities through faith, compassion, and courage.

To our students – thank you for your energy, curiosity, and resilience.
To our families – thank you for your trust and partnership.
And to our staff – thank you for your tireless commitment to Catholic education and the students we serve.

Wishing you all a safe, joyful, and well-deserved summer break. I look forward to resuming our journey together next school year – rooted in faith and growing in hope.
