Congratulations to Alexa Cormier from on being selected as one of four provincial recipients of the OFSAA Character Athlete Award!
Presented annually by the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA), this award honours student-athletes who exemplify leadership, respect, equity, and sportsmanship – both on and off the field. From over 200 nominations across the province, Alexa stood out for her remarkable commitment to excellence in athletics, academics, and service.
A multisport athlete and provincial competitor in swimming and track and field, Alexa has made five OFSAA appearances across eight events. Her leadership and mentorship have helped grow the CTK swim program, inspiring a new generation of athletes. Beyond athletics, she is an active leader in school clubs and community initiatives, and her exemplary combination of intelligence, dedication, and compassion earned her the Irene McCauley Memorial Award. She was also awarded Most Promising Athlete in Grade 9, and was nominated for Athlete of the Year and the St. Sebastian Award.
As a recipient of the OFSAA Character Athlete Award, Alexa received a $500 grant, a commemorative plaque, and a custom Baron ring. We are proud to celebrate Alexa’s achievements and the example she sets for others in her school community!
