Quotes
“Our school motto is ‘Journey Together in Faith and Stewardship’. And what a journey it’s been. Today is a celebration of a journey that has brought us together. And here we are today, a promise fulfilled, and a journey that continues to move forward. A school is more than the colour of the bricks with a row of lockers in the hallway – a school is a community of the people who make it what it is.
As the Lily of the Mohawks, St. Kateri Tekakwitha exemplifies unwavering faith, courage, and resilience. Despite challenges, she remains steadfast in her commitment to God and to her community. She serves as an incredible role model — embodying all that we aspire to be here at our school. In her spirit, we have built lasting relationships, created meaningful memories, and strengthened our bonds as a school family. Thank you to everyone for your continued support, and welcome to our new home!”
– Kevin Wong, Principal of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School
“Our commitment as a Board remains steadfast: to ensure that every student has access to the tools, opportunities, and caring learning environment to realize their fullest potential.
Congratulations to each of you on this momentous occasion. May your time at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School be guided by shared purpose, enriched through learning, and marked by continued growth as you strive for excellence.”
– Marvin Duarte, Chair of the Board
“This is an extraordinary moment — a time to recognize not only the opening of this beautiful new school building, but also the spirit and strength of the community that fills it.
Here at St. Kateri Tekakwitha, you are walking in the footsteps of a courageous saint who inspires us all to pursue truth and purpose with strength and grace. Together, we will continue to nurture a joyful learning environment — one where students and staff are empowered to lead, and to serve.”
