Beginning Thursday, January 9, 2025, families with Year 2 Kindergarten students can apply for the Grade 1 French Immersion program for the 2025-2026 school year.
The French Immersion program is an exciting, fast-paced, optional program. Students must be entering Grade 1 in September to be eligible to participate in the HCDSB’s French Immersion program.

The program has expanded across HCDSB so space is no longer determined through a random selection (lottery) process.

How to Apply
Parents and guardians can apply for the program through an online application portal, which will be available on Thursday, January 9 through Friday, February 14, 2025.
A direct link to apply will be available on the French Immersion page, and can also be accessed on the homepage of the Board’s website (www.hcdsb.org) beginning January 9th and until the application time period closes.
