Professional Activity (PA) Day 鈥� September 3, 2024
The school year will begin with a Professional Activity (PA) Day on Tuesday, September 3rd. This means that there is no school for HCDSB students on this day.
PA Days are designated for activities that include professional development for educators and staff, evaluation of student progress, consultation with parents/guardians, curriculum and program evaluation and development. First Day of School 鈥� September 4, 2024
The first day of school for all HCDSB students聽in Grades 1- 12聽will be on Wednesday, September 4th.聽Parents/guardians of students entering Year 1 and Year 2 Kindergarten will receive information about the staggered entry process and/or orientation interviews from their schools.聽
Elementary Class Placements Available on August 30, 2024
Elementary class placements for the upcoming school year will be accessible as of 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024. Parents and guardians can access their child鈥檚 class placement through by using their child鈥檚 Office 365 email and password. Detailed step-by-step instructions are available on the HCDSB website.
Please note that class lists may change up to and including the first two weeks of September due to student enrolment changes that may necessitate additional staffing adjustments. As a result, no class changes will be considered until after the second week of September.
Secondary Timetables
Grade 9 Timetables: Grade 9 timetables will be available at each school鈥檚 Grade 9 Orientation Day.
Grade 10-12 Timetables: Grade 10-12 timetables will be available beginning Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
Students will be able to access their timetable through using their Office 365 email and password.鈥�See step-by-step instructions on how to view timetables as a Secondary Student.

Students Moving to St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School New Building
We are happy to announce that the new St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School building will be open to students on Wednesday, September 4, 2024!
A New Multi-Year Strategic Plan for HCDSB
On January 16, 2024, the Board of Trustees unanimously adopted the 2024-2028 Multi-Year Strategic Plan. This plan will guide the work of our school district over the next four years, focusing on academic excellence, faith formation, and student well-being. Board Meetings Open to the Public
Regular Meetings of the Board of Trustees will take place on the first and third Tuesday of each month from September through June. These meetings will be held in the Board Room of our Catholic Education Centre at 802 Drury Lane in Burlington. We also livestream all Board Meetings on our .
