The 嫩芽视频 (HCDSB) is excited to announce that Elena Vala of is our top International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma programme graduate for the 2023-2024 school year, with an incredible score of 44 out of 45.
Elena scored 7 out of 7 in Business Management HL, Biology HL, Chemistry SL, Math SL, and French B SL. Her hard work and dedication have truly paid off.
This fall, Elena will be going to Hillsdale College in Michigan to study for a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in French.
鈥淏eing a student in St. Thomas Aquinas’ International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme was a challenging endeavour, but a rewarding one! It provided me with many opportunities to set personal goals and pursue my interests in biology and French in depth, with teachers who supported and encouraged me. Studying in small groups with like-minded peers allowed us to build a fun and supportive community. The programme prepared me well for university, the rigorous academic level helped me get placed in advanced classes for my chosen fields of study, while the Extended Essay and the Internal Assessments have taught me valuable research and workload-management skills.鈥�
