The 2023-24 Halton Catholic Athletic Association (HCAA) Elementary Interschool Track & Field Meets were a big success once again this year!
Over 2,600 HCDSB elementary students showed off their skills at the events that took place on the following dates and locations:
- June 4: Burlington Municipal Meet at Corpus Christi CSS
- June 6: North Halton Municipal Meet at Bishop Reding CSS
- June 10: Oakville Municipal Meet at St. Ignatius of Loyola CSS
- June 12: HCAA System Championship Meet at Notre Dame CSS
The top three winning schools were as follows:
- St. Brigid Catholic Elementary School
- St. Anne Catholic Elementary School
- St. Nicholas Catholic Elementary School
These schools earned the most points through their students’ hard work and great performances.
This year, 120 Special Olympians also competed in the events. Around 20 volunteers from the host high schools helped each day, making sure everything ran smoothly and cheering on the athletes.
