The ÄÛÑ¿ÊÓƵ (HCDSB) is pleased to announce the dates for our upcoming Kindergarten Open Houses. The open houses are designed for families with children eligible to begin Kindergarten in September 2024, and will provide an opportunity to learn about the unique play and inquiry-based Kindergarten program we offer at HCDSB, meet our dedicated staff, and connect with fellow parents and community partners.
Open House Details
Parents and guardians will have the opportunity to tour Kindergarten classrooms, meet staff from our Child Care and Before & After School Providers, representatives from community partners, and our experienced Board staff.
Future students and their families are encouraged to attend any of the following Kindergarten Open Houses:

About the Kindergarten Program at HCDSB
Our HCDSB schools offer a full-day, 2-year Kindergarten program, designed to engage curious early learners through various types of play that help children learn how to reason and problem-solve as they interact with one another.
Year 1 Kindergarten – children must be 4 years of age on or before December 31, 2024.
Year 2 Kindergarten – children must be 5 years of age on or before December 31, 2024.
